Action, Motion, Blur and Camera RAW
October 22, 2012
So Friday my daughter got a new puppy, a little black poodle and he is completely hyper. In this photo he is still but I was able to show two different levels of effects to add the look of motion. For this assignment, most of my time went into that third photo. I knew what I wanted but I got carried away more than once and had some images that looked like 1970s album covers, which was too much. The brown dog is one of his brothers, before and after I lightened him up a bit.
Cars around sunset are really quite fun to photograph. For these I just planted myself and my tripod, kind of hid myself behind things and turned the flash off so I wouldn't startle anybody, and started taking photos. Most of these are on Olympic Highway South outside of Shelton, and the white car is downtown. I shot 135 total photos and edited down to these. The top 3 are unmodified and the ones with captions have gone through "Curves" (more than one kind). For the cars down below by the Kiwanis sign, you can really tell the difference before and after I lightened and adjusted that image in photoshop.
